The Just Picture It Philosophy
You've heard and/or read educators' and developmental psychologists' age-old "rant" about "why Johnny can't read",
I'm sure. Well, here's the answer, "in a nutshell": "Johnny" may not be able to read --- for the exact
same reason "Julio", "Antoine", "Melissa" and "Bob" can't read, Folks: children's motivation to read is lessened
every year --- by the introduction of more and more visual media.
At Just Picture It, you can get what you need --- to stay one jump ahead of all that competition
--- by encouraging children to want to read --- by putting books on those store
shelves that offer enough vividly-colored, visually enticing illustrations --- to provide young readers with the illusion
of "watching" your stories, as they read them!
When you work with Just Picture It ---
You get:
- --- Personalized service --- which means that, when you call, there will almost always be a live human available
to speak with you! (Now, there's something you don't see, every day!)
- --- Not only the illustrations you need, to "bring your text alive" --- but the original drawings of each character,
in each of their poses and "wardrobe changes", the original drawings of each "prop" that went into the creation of each scene,
from the largest piece of furniture to the smallest bedroom end-table ornament --- from the tallest tree to the bird perched
high on one of the branches --- and the original drawings of each of the scenes, "the way they looked, before the characters
got there". (That's almost like being able to be here, watching me draw all that stuff!)
- Illustrations at the appropriate size and in the appropriate electronic format and picture resolution --- to meet
your publisher's specifications and yours.
Awesome, isn't it!

A message from "Grandma" Helene:
I'm Helene Dadoune. I'm a mother, a grandmother and a former preschool teacher with fifteen years' experience in
both private preschools and the HeadStart State Preschool program.
I've been complimented on my artwork, all my life. As a preschool teacher, the ability to "interpret what I saw,
so that others could see it, too" came in handy, since the hand-made, hand-illustrated books and other various teaching materials
that I brought to many classrooms-full of children provided me a pleasurable enhancement to the songs, games, stories and
"big-school readiness" activities I shared --- at a cost that stayed within the slim budget of a teacher --- who was also
a divorced mom.
With the technology, hardware and software available to me, today, I'm able to share my artwork with other
teachers, authors of material for children, etc. --- at a cost even more affordable than ever before.
--- So why haven't we heard from you, yet?
(If you haven't e-mailed or called, yet --- right now would be a good time)
